Built by watching how a trades job actually moves.
Not from a whiteboard, and not from a generic project-management template with the labels swapped out.
A quote gets built. A customer signs it. Someone gets dispatched to do the work. An invoice goes out, and eventually, hopefully, it gets paid. That's the whole job — but most software treats each of those as a separate problem, solved by a separate tool, connected by nothing but a person retyping the same information three or four times.
BluCollar exists because that gap between a signed proposal and a paid invoice is where trades businesses lose time, lose track of jobs, and lose money — not from bad work, but from bad handoffs.
So instead of another scheduling app or another invoicing app, we built one system where a proposal, once signed, already knows it's a job — and a job, once complete, already knows what to invoice. Nothing re-typed. Nothing forgotten between the truck and the office.
What we're building toward.
Built for the trades, specifically
Not retrofitted from generic business software. Proposals, dispatch, and job tracking are shaped around how HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work actually gets done and billed.
Priced to grow with you
A free tier for a business just getting its proposals off paper, and usage-based pricing above that — so cost tracks your actual volume, not a headcount guess.
Nothing runs unattended
Vendor invoices get matched automatically, but a person still approves every one before it posts. Automation should save time, not make decisions no one signed off on.
Why we do this.
BluCollar exists to support the people who keep homes and businesses running — BluCollar is built for the trades. Technicians who show up for a service call, make a repair, and install new equipment are there to help on your worst day. We built this company to not only make it easier for those technicians, but for the entire trade business behind them as well. Honest pricing, no shortcuts, and continual improvement is what BluCollar is built on. Our goal is to help you, help others.
Here at BluCollar we also support something that hits close to home for 1 in 100 people. This one is personal to us. Our founder Trevor McDonald was born with a congenital heart defect, and it's meant a lifetime of ongoing open-heart surgeries — not a single fix. That experience shaped how we think about running a business: take care of the people around you, don't cut corners, and focus on what actually matters — putting whatever success you build toward something bigger than yourself.
HeartWorks, an organization working toward a cure for congenital heart disease — not just a better treatment, but an end to that cycle of surgery for the next person born with this condition. Supporting them is one of the reasons BluCollar exists at all.
